OVERALL RATING | 82 = B- (NICE PROJECT! WELL WORTH LISTENING TO)

  1. Shah Milli – Introduction (3.14) 8 out of 10
I can dig the production from the gate. Immediately I think Shah has a great vocal tone, although his flow and delivery isn’T anything new or spectacular. Right off the bat this track allows me to establish him as a lyricist and i can respect that. I kind of expect a song title for a 3min 14sec introduction, but besides that I can really dig this!
  2. Shah Milli – The Life (4.11) 9 out of 10
This is one of my favorite tracks on the album. I love the jazziness of the track. It compliments the MC’s vocals nicely and demands a listening ear. I can even hear a high pitch sync that builds and fades lightly in the background as the verses go into the chorus. I can distinctly hear all vocals and all sounds on this track. Not crazy about MC’s calling other MC’s names on Tracks but I understand that it is a part of the Hip Hop culture. This track is very motivational and i can feel Shah Milli’s desire to make it.
  3. Shah Milli – Take Yo Chick ft. Big Mike (4.09) 7 out of 10
Tracks like this lose me more so because I cant imagine wanting to or pursuing a Chick thats with someone else. So right off the bat I have to listen to things like production and lyrical skill rather than actual content. The production is feels like hip hop in its purest form. The type of music that makes real MCs want to freestyle. “Go through more meat than Piranha Teeth!” I’m laughing outloud at that line and adding one more point to the rating. I see the entertainment value of this song now.
  4. Shah Milli – The feeling ft. Damaris (3.53) 7 out of 10
I’m vibing with this track. Waiting to see what the feeling is… I love the production but am lost on how the hook and the verses relate. Cant tell if this song is about a girl or a lifestyle. Lyrically the content is confusing as a result. I kind of want the song to be about one or another. This would have made a grate song for the ladies and the “feeling” theme would work perfectly with the track.
  5. Shah Milli – Let Us Pray ft. Really Real (2.45) 10 out of 10
Ahhh here we go! We riding out now Shah Milli. This is clicking from the vocals, verses, production etc. Love the rolling snares and the background vocals. Feel like someone real pretty is holding me and asking me to listen to every word of this song. This is the way to marry a beat to lyrics and make a song! I can clearly hear a message and feel its importance. This is a song that needs to be heard.
  6. Shah Milli – Crumblin’ Erb ft. Chief (2.51) 5 out of 10
Being from ATL I’m particular about any dungeon family tracks. This is a great ode to a classic song and I will leave it at that. I would rather hear a unique version of both the hook and the verses, but this feels like an extension of what was. The quality of the beat changes between the chorus and the verses which is a little awkward. Would have made a good interlude if shortened.
  7. Shah Milli – Thinkin’ Of You (3.37) 9 out of 10
Another nice ode to the ladies. The track is laid back but banging. The lyrics are welcoming and I can appreciate this track.
  8. Shah Milli – One for the Money (3.10)  7 out of 10
This track was very laid back. So laid back in fact that before I noticed it had ended and I had zoned out. May work for those lighting up and mellowing out. Or even if I’m in the mood to just chill and not think about much. Great production, decent lyrics. Not bad at all.
  9. Shah Milli – Star of The Show ft. Damaris & Mike Hood(3.17) 8 out of 10
I actually like this song. The vocals came in a little loud on the chorus but I like the way the track seems to smooth back down for the MC’s. Makes me want to research Sky Tribe and find more music from this company. I love the bass line. This is great music.
  10. Shah Milli – Grizzle ft. Slim (3.31) 10 out of 10
The production is very 70′s which makes this a perfect track for the lyrics. It embodies the sound of hustle and grind. Shah Milli delivers flawlessy over this track with raw lyrics. This is the hardest song on the mixture and a welcomed change of pace. I’ve listened twice already and waiting on a third. This is classic material, and what I was waiting to hear on this project!
  11. Shah Milli – Outro (4.09) 9 out of 10
I’ve always liked this track style. Smooth, jazzy, relaxed and with a rolling bass line. Sha Milli you done good with this one. its not always easy to take your time over great beats and let it move you. The lyrics are just as smooth as the track and don’t seem forced as they were in the introduction. I do have to deduct a point for there being no title. This song is too well put together to simply be titled “Outro”.
