ECHO BOOM TRACK LISTING AND INDIVIDUAL SONG REVIEW
- Echo Boom ft. Pharrell | 9 out of 10
I’m very caught off by this project. It sounds excitingly fresh. The production provides a perfect mixture of traditional bass and atmospheric play. I love how the beat takes its time. This song simply feels right! - Put In Work (produced by Wyclef John @ Sedeck) | 10 out of 10
This track needs to be heard. It speaks to the need for people in general to earn what they get. So many want the finest girl, biggest house, flyest car, but think it should fall in their lap. This song is needed and presented in an exciting non obtrusive in which all ages can listen and understand. - Face to Face (Snippet) | 8 out of 10
A nice transition from the relaxed sound of the first two tracks. The vocal stacks are very elegant and smooth. Could have been ended as if it were an interlude rather than faded as an incomplete song. - Rihanna’s Gun ft. Mavado and Wyclef | 10 out of 10
I give this song props because it sounds different. Its like walking into a dark club and getting served a plate of the most elegant food I’ve ever seen. Not sure whether its safe or not. This song sounds excitingly dangerous. But it attracts me to it and Ive listened 3 times already listening to whats going on. Very nicely done! - Turn You On ft. Melanie Fiona and Shaggy | 8 out of 10
Nice to hear shaggy again. This track makes me fall in love with Reggae Music again! Melanie adds a nice contrast of smooth vocals against the rough vocals of Shaggy and raspy sounds of Cris Cab. I really enjoyed listening. - Cross Your Fingers | 9 out of 10
808′s massaging my ears on this one! LOVE THAT BREAKDOWN! The energy in this song is amazing. It resonates through the vocals and the beat with boldness. I can hear the vocals echo and distort as they fade out. I’m like that i can hear all of the subtle sounds of the track. - Angels and Demons | 9 out of 10
So far this has been my least favorite, not to say it isn’t a good song. The Production remains stellar. The vocals are crisp. It sounds so different from the other tracks with its crossover appeal. The words are beautiful and lay wonderfully over the organs and acoustic guitars. It took two listens but on the second I raised the rating up because this song says a lot! I feel like I can rebound from mistakes and be ok if I make mistakes. - What Can’t We Do (Here We Go Again) ft. Daytona | 10 out of 10
Wow! Not sure how you make a song like this sound crank, but this accomplishes just that. I’m hoppin in my seat like I got hydraulics! This song makes me feel proud to be me. It makes me want to move forward with no excuses for who i am. There is a serious message in this song underneath the subs and rolling snares! - Going Home ft. Marc Roberge of OAR | 8 out of 10
Nice twist on the traditional Reggae beat. As always the lyrics are very meaningful. This speaks to the resolution of the struggle. It does a good job at making me feel like the struggle is almost over. It provides 3:41sec of relief and for that I am grateful. Not crazy about Marc Roberge’s vocals. They seem out of place. - Gypsys On the Boulevard | 9 out of 10
I continue to be impressed by this project, the production and the vocals. This song is like an audio adventure. I’ve listened twice already. A very nice narrative, it keeps me engaged the entire song. The production is stellar as it has been the entire project. This is one of my favorites! - One Thing | 7 out of 10
I found it hard to follow this song lyrically. The beat change lost me but quickly connected again. Over all it’s a good track just one of my least favorites conceptually. I’ve listened a few times and still can not connect with it. - In My Dreams | 9 out of 10
This is a great song to complete a project with. I’m absolutely pleased with the instrumentation. I could listen to the instrumental on repeat for a full day! Cris Cab sounds more American on this track and leaves me wondering where the Reggae dude went. I can dig this though.
